Oh My, Omeisaurus!

China
Middle Jurassic, 170 million B.C.

It is midday at a forest in Mid Jurassic China. A group of small bipedal dinosaurs is busy feeding on some ferns. They are unaware that a predator is watching them. A theropod dinosaur charges towards the herd. The small dinosaurs flee from the medium-sized predator. They soon hide behind some "trees." The trees turned out to be the legs of a sauropod dinosaur. The theropod sees the giant and decides to abandon the little dinosaurs; for fear of being stepped on or whacked by the giant's long tail. The sauropod is feeding on some cycads. Then suddenly, the giant animal begins to wail in pain. A piece of a cycad has gotten stuck between its teeth, causing the animal to stress out. The dino then begins to run around, swinging its neck side to side trying to relieve of the pain. It then continues to run, with the small herbivores close behind and the theropod as well.

Danville
September 21, Friday, 3:00 p.m.
Danville High School

Autumn has arrived and Phineas and his friends are just leaving the high school.
"Hey Phineas," said Isabella. "Whatcha doin?"
"Hi Isabella," said Phineas. "Well me, Ferb, and the rest of my family are going to that new Chinese restaurant, Chinatown, that's recently opened later this afternoon. They say the food there is really good."
"What a coincidence? The girls and I are planning on eating there too."
"That's cool."
"Yeah, same for us," said Buford. "Baljeet, Django, Irving, Alex, and I are planning to eat there as well. I hear their crispy fried chicken and won ton soup is supposed to be the bomb."
"Okay," said Phineas. "Then I guess we will see you all later at the restaurant then."
The gang then all got on the buses and headed for their homes.

3:30 p.m.
At Isabella's House

Isabella and the girls are all hanging out at Isabella's house.
"So girls, how do I look?"
Isabella walks out wearing a blue dress.
"You look beautiful, chief?" said Ginger.
"You look beautiful in anything?" said Katie.
"Thanks Katie."
"Bow chicka bow wow. That's what my baby said."
"Is that your phone Holly?" said Adyson.
"Yes," said the African American girl as she pulls out her phone. She walks out of Isabella's room and into the bathroom. Her phone reads Alex. "Hello."
"Hey Holly," said Alex.
"Hi Alex," said Holly sheepishly.
"So are you going to be at Chinatown tonight?"
"Yes. Why?"
"I was just wondering that's all. I guess I'll see you there then."
"Okay, bye."
She then hangs up and walks back into the room.
"Who was that Holly?" said Isabella.
"It was Alex. He was curious if I was going to the restaurant tonight. I said yes."
The girls just looked at Holly with a cheeky smile on their faces.
"What?"
"Nothing," said Milly. "It just seems like that Alex likes you that's all."
"It appears that way," said Holly.
"And it seems that you like him," added Adyson.
"What? Seriously Addy?"
"I am dead serious. Admit Holly, you do like Alex at least a little. Don't try to talk yourself out of it."
"Okay fine. I admit it. I do like Alex some. You happy?"
"Well you don't need to make such a fuss about it," said Ginger. "Alex is a good kid."
"I know. It's just isn't he kinda young for me?"
"Only by a year and a half," said Milly. "Anyway, I know he has some sort of feelings for you."
"How do you know?"
"Because that day we were at that movie theater being under attacked by that pack of Deinonychus, when you kicked that dino through the window he had this awe-inspiring look on his face. You saved him, Holly?"
"Well it wasn't just him. You and Django we're also cornered with Alex by that one Deinonychus."
"The point is Holly," said Isabella. "You should at least give Alex a chance and you might find out that he could be the guy of your dreams."
"Alright I will, but on one condition. The rest of you girls sit next to each guy so that I don't feel like I'm being the only one having a "date."
"I can live with that," said Isabella. "It can be a septennial date."
All the girls are now excited, except for Gretchen who was more worried.

5:00 p.m.
Flynn-Fletcher House

Phineas, Ferb and their family are just about ready to head to the restaurant.
"I'm guessing Ferb that it's going to be a packed house tonight at Chinatown," said Phineas. "Not only is it just us, Candace, mom and dad, but also our friends and Stacy, Jeremy, and Jenny are going to be there as well."
"Sound like a packed house alright," said Ferb with agreement.
"Okay boys, are you both ready?" yelled Lawrence their dad.
"Yeah dad, were coming," said Phineas.
The two boys came running down the stairs.
"Let's go mom before all the seats are full," said Candace.
"Don't worry Candace," said Linda. "We are leaving right now. Boys did you feed Perry already."
"Yes mom," said Phineas. "Hey, where is Perry anyway?"
Ferb just shrugs his shoulders and the family left to the restaurant.

Meanwhile, Perry enters through the fireplace into his secret lair.
"Good evening Agent P," said Major Monogram. "We are not exactly sure what Dr. Doofenshmirtz is up to, since he hasn't been working on his anomaly-lock inator for a while now. A while ago, Carl pulled up on Doof's calendar that it is father-daughter night tonight and he is taking Vanessa out to dinner to that Chinese restaurant that just recently opened."
"Also Agent P," said Carl. "Right after Doofenshmirtz left his apartment, I snuck in and got his handheld anomaly-detection inator that he has been working on. It's supposed to predict when and where the anomaly is going to appear. According to this, the next anomaly will open right next to that Chinese restaurant. What do you know; one of Dr. D's inators actually works."
"Anyway, as Carl just said, you better get over there and see if he knows about this anomaly. Monogram out."
As soon as the screen goes black, Perry jumps into his hover car and heads straight to the restaurant.

5:30 p.m.
Danville Chinatown

Phineas and his family have arrived at the restaurant. Once they went inside, they see their friends and their parents are already at their table.
"Looks like everyone is here," said Linda.
"We'll be joining with those people over there," said Lawrence to the waiter.
"Right this way sir," said the waiter.
Phineas and Ferb went to the table with their friends, Candace went to join Jeremy, Stacy, and Jenny, and Lawrence and Linda went to the table where the parents are.
"They weren't kidding when they said this place would be packed," said Phineas to Ferb.
Isabella and the girls sat one seat away from each other, so one of each guys can sit next to them. The guys all got into their seats.
"Hey Holly," said Alex who was not wearing his cap like he usually does. Holly had a surprised look on her face.
"Hey Alex," said Holly.
"Is something wrong?"
"No, it's just I've never seen you without your cap. You wear almost all the time."
"Yeah, well it's considered rude to wear a hat at the table; especially at a fancy restaurant like this. Is there something wrong with that?"
"No. You look great."
"Thanks."
The waiters came to place their orders. Everyone asked for their orders and got their meal ten minutes later.
"Say Buford," said Adyson. "What's that you're eating?"
"It's won ton soup," said Buford. "It's a type of dumpling. It's really good."
Everyone was enjoying their meal.

5:50 p.m.

Outside the restaurant, Perry sees Doofenshmirtz and Vanessa walking into the restaurant. He is about to walk inside, when he sees his family at the far end of the restaurant. He quickly hides behind some trash cans. He sees Doofenshmirtz and Vanessa taking a seat.
"Isn't nice Vanessa that you and I can have a father-daughter night?" said the scientist.
"Sure dad," said Vanessa. "But I was just wondering? What have you been up to lately?"
"What do you mean?"
"When I went to your apartment, I saw several DVDs on prehistoric animals as well as prehistoric ads on your computer. And there are also those graphs and charts you've been working on."
"Well it's complicated Vanessa, but so far I have not done anything evil…at least not yet."
Then Vanessa sees Ferb and his friends. Her dad turns around and sees what she's looking at.
"You know those kids Vanessa?"
"Yeah. That one with the green hair is Ferb. He was at the talent show Sunday night where he watched me sing that night. I'm going to walk over to say hi."
"Okay. I'll be right here waiting for our food."
Vanessa walks over to the teens.
"Hey Ferb," said Vanessa.
"Hey Vanessa," said Ferb who is surprised. "Surprised to see you here."
"Yeah, well I'm having a father-daughter night with my dad. I saw you over here and I thought to come over and say hello."
"Thanks. By the way, you remember my stepbrother Phineas right?"
"Yeah. Hey Phineas."
"Hi Vanessa," said the red-haired teen.
"And there's Isabella, Baljeet, Ginger, Buford, Adyson, Django, Milly, Irving, Katie, Alex, Holly, and this is Gretchen."
"It's nice to meet you all," said Vanessa who was right next to Gretchen.
"It's nice to meet you as well," said Gretchen with a sheepish tone.
"Our sister, Candace, is over there with Jeremy, Stacy, and Jenny," said Phineas.
"I guess I'll go over and say hi to them as well."
Vanessa walks over to where Candace is sitting.
"Hey Candace."
"Vanessa?" said Candace. "What a surprise!"
"I was talking to your brothers and I figured I'd say hi to you guys as well."
"That's nice of you," said Jenny.
"How's everything going for you?" said Stacy.
"It's okay. College is just busy and all. What about you Candace? You and Jeremy still dating?"
"Yep," said Candace. "Jeremy and I are still boyfriend and girlfriend."
"That's nice to hear."
"What about you Vanessa?" said Jeremy. "You dating anyone at the moment."
"No, although I might possibly be getting back with Johnny."
"That would be nice," said Jenny.

6:00 p.m.

Meanwhile outside the restaurant in a dark ally, an anomaly opens. Inside the restaurant, Doofenshmirtz's anomaly-detection inator goes off.
"The anomaly has opened right outside the restaurant," said the doctor.
He then headed straight outside.

"Well I better head back to my dad. I'll see you guys later."
"See you Vanessa," said the four young adults.
"Later Ferb. I'm heading back to my dad. I'll see you later."
"Okay," said the green-haired teen.
Vanessa headed back to her father. When she got to the table, her father was not there.
"Where's dad?"
Vanessa then sees him outside.
"What's he up to now?"
She decides to follow him.

When Doofenshmirtz finds the anomaly, he also finds Perry.
"Perry the platypus, I see you are already here. Monogram must have told you about my predictions of the next anomaly and I was right. How do you like that? One of my inators actually worked. Well, then again many of my inators worked, until you destroyed them."
"Dad?" said Vanessa.
"Oh Vanessa, hi."
"Dad what are you doing out here? Hi Perry."
Perry waves at Vanessa.
"I thought we were having a father-daughter night."
"We are. It's just I got readings about an anomaly that just opened right out here."
"Okay and what's an anomaly?"
"It's what you're looking at behind me and Perry the platypus. There these holes in time that open into prehistoric eras and allow creatures from those eras to enter into the modern world. I've been trying to get some info on the anomalies themselves but every time I try I get chased by some prehistoric predator."
"So that's what you've been up to lately?"
"Pretty much."
Suddenly, a few small animals run right through the anomaly.
"Uh dad, what are those?"
"Don't worry, Vanessa. They look like Agilisaurus. They're herbivores so they are nothing to worry about."
Suddenly, a larger dinosaur walks out of the anomaly. It roars at the Agilisaurus family, Doofenshmirtz, Vanessa, and Perry.
"What about that?" said Vanessa.
"Yeah, a Xuanhanosaurus would be something to worry about."

Inside the building close to the activity going on outside, Irving is just getting out of the restroom when looked outside and saw what was happening. He rushed to Phineas and the others to let them know.
"Phineas!" said Irving.
"Irving, what is it man?" said Phineas.
"An anomaly has opened outside the restaurant?"
"Are you serious?" said Buford. "Of all times, an anomaly just had to open right here."
"We better check it out."
"Where are you all going?" said Candace.
"Candace, an anomaly has opened outside the restaurant. We need you to cover us from mom and dad. Tell them we're just taking a walk around the block or something."
"Phineas!" yelled Candace.
But Phineas and his friends were already outside.

Perry, Doofenshmirtz, Vanessa, and the Agilisaurus clan are still in front of the anomaly and the Xuanhanosaurus, which is trying to determine its next target. It goes for the little dinosaurs.
"Vanessa, look out!" yelled Doofenshmirtz.
The doctor pushes his daughter out of the way. The predator chases after the small herbivores.
"That was close. Thanks dad," said Vanessa.
"You are very welcome. Now let's get you home before something else—ouch!"
"Dad, what's wrong?"
"I must have twisted my ankle or something."
"Well, let me help you."
Vanessa puts her father's arm on her shoulder, along with Perry's help, and helps him walk to his scooter. They then headed for home.

Just as Vanessa and Doofenshmirtz left, Phineas and the gang find the anomaly. They also see the dinosaurs that came out.
"Is that a Megalosaurus?" said Baljeet.
"No," said Irving. "It's a Xuanhanosaurus; a smaller relative that lived in China during the mid-Jurassic period. It was once thought to have been the only quadrupedal theropods."
"In other words, scientists thought it walked on four legs?" said Gretchen.
"Precisely Gretchen."
"But what are those smaller dinosaurs that it's chasing," said Ginger.
"Those are Agilisaurus. They're small bipedal herbivores that relied on speed to get away from predators."
"All right gang," said Phineas. "We have to make sure all those dinos get back through the anomaly before anyone notices them; especially our parents."
Right when the gang is about to start the chase, another dinosaur bursts through the anomaly.
"Look out!" yelled Isabella.
The large dinosaur is wailing with pain and stress.
"It's an Omeisaurus," said Irving. "The dinosaur with the longest neck compared to body size."
"What's the matter with it?" said Katie.
"Well now we got two major dinosaurs to worry about," said Buford.
"Here's the plan," said Phineas. "Alex. You, Holly, Irving, Katie, Django, and Milly go after the Omeisaurus, while the rest of us handle with the Agilisaurus and the Xuanhanosaurus."
The gang split up to chase down the dinosaurs.

6:10 p.m.

Meanwhile, Candace is keeping an eye on mom and the other parents to make sure they are still busy talking.
"Hey Candace," said Linda. "Where are Phineas, Ferb, and the others?"
"They went for a walk outside. You know, to burn off some of the calories from all that Chinese food. They already paid for their food."
"Okay, well will be leaving in about thirty minutes. So make sure they know that."
"Alright mom."
Candace then gets her phone out to call Phineas.
"Phineas, where are you guys?"
"Hey Candace. Well some of us are taking care of a carnivorous Xuanhanosaurus and a family of Agilisaurus, while others are dealing with a panicking Omeisaurus."
"Well you better figure out a way to get those dinosaurs back to their era quickly. Mom said we'll be leaving in about half an hour."
"Trust us Candace we are doing it as fast as we can."
"Okay. Also, for heaven's sake, be careful. I don't know how I would explain this to mom if you or any of your friends gets trampled or eaten by some dinosaur."
"Don't worry Candace. We'll be careful."
Phineas hangs up his phone.
"All right guys. We only have thirty minutes to get these dinosaurs back through the anomaly. So we better hurry up."

On the other side of the restaurant, Alex and the others are trying to figure a way to calm down the Omeisaurus.
"Okay Irving," said Alex. "You're the dinosaur expert. What do you think is the matter with this dinosaur?"
"I'm not quite sure," said Irving. "Normally sauropods are peaceful giants that just simply feed on a variety of vegetation, such as cycad leaves."
"Well it sounds like it's in pain," said Katie.
Django got out some binoculars.
"You brought binoculars?" said Milly.
"Yeah, well sometimes I come prepared," said Django. "Besides this is a new pair I got and never got a chance to use them."
Django takes a look through his binoculars to see what was troubling the giant animal.
"You see anything Django?" said Alex.
"I do actually. It appears it has a cycad leaf stuck between its teeth."
"Well no wonder it's freaking out," said Holly. "The poor thing has a splinter."
"If we can find a way to remove that leaf, then maybe it will calm," said Irving.
"Good luck with that," said Django. "Its head is like twelve feet off the ground. How are you going to get it out without being trampled?"
Alex looked around and saw a greenhouse that is selling ferns.
"I have an idea," said the blonde-haired kid.
Alex ran towards the greenhouse and picked up one of the ferns.
"How much is the fern," said Alex to the cashier.
"That will be twelve dollars," said the cashier.
"Here you go. Thanks."
Alex then rushed outside in front of the giant herbivore.
"What's Alex doing with those ferns?" said Katie.
"Hey! Down here!"
The Omeisaurus looks down at Alex and lowers its head to the ground.
"Hey big fellow," said Alex. "Let's see if we can get that splinter out."
Alex slowly pulls out the cycad leaf. Pretty soon, it comes out. The Omeisaurus shrieks for a few seconds. Everyone stood there wondering what will happen next. The dinosaur is calm and looks down at Alex.
"Feels much better doesn't."
The large animal looks at Irving as if it was thanking him.
"Who would ever know that something that small could ever cause a large animal to go on a rampage?" said Milly.
"Wouldn't you if you were in that much pain?" said Katie.
"True," replied Milly.
"Looks like you've made a new friend," said Holly.
"Seems that way," said Alex. "But now I got to find something for that wound so it doesn't get infected."
"Well it's a good thing there is a cosmetics store right over there," said Django.
Holly runs into the store.
"Excuse sir," said Holly to the owner. "Do you have any cream or something that's deals with splinters?"
"As a matter a fact, I do," said the owner. "This here is Pain-Be-Gone. This product helps to rid the pain, even when the splinter."
"That's just what I need."
"Alright. That will be ten dollars."
"Here you go."
Holly grabs the cream and rushes outside where Alex and the others are petting the giant herbivore.
"Put some of this on the wound Alex," said Holly.
Alex squirts some of the cream on his hand.
"Lean down Mr. Omeisaurus," said Alex.
The giant herbivore leans down.
"This should make your sore all better."
He rubs the lotion onto the giants wound.
"There you go. Feeling better already?"
The giant bellows as if it was saying thank you. It then leans down and licks Alex.
"Okay, I guess that means he is. You're very welcome."
Django gives Alex a towel to wipe off the saliva.
"Now we better get you back home," said Alex.
"Right but first we need to help Phineas and the others with the Agilisaurus and the Xuanhanosaurus," said Irving.
"Well what are we waiting for, let's go," said Holly.
The six teenagers head towards the other side of town.

6:20 p.m.

Meanwhile, Phineas and the others are still trying to find the other dinosaurs.
"You think they went back through the anomaly," said Isabella.
"I highly doubt it," said Adyson.
"Well we better keep looking," said Phineas.
"Maybe the Xuanhanosaurus got one of those Agilisaurus," said Baljeet.
"Or maybe not," said Ginger.
"What makes you think that?" said Baljeet.
Ginger pointed behind Baljeet.
All five of the little plant-eaters are behind the gang.
"Well at least we can take these guys back to the anomaly," said Gretchen who is petting one of them.
The gang agreed and headed back to where the anomaly is. Unfortunately, unknown to them, the Xuanhanosaurus is right behind them.

6:25 p.m.

Phineas and the others manage to herd all five Agilisaurus back through the anomaly.
"Well those guys have been taken care of," said Buford.
"I wonder if Alex and the others have brought the Omeisaurus back through the anomaly already," said Baljeet.
"Let me call them," said Phineas.
Phineas got his phone and called Alex.
"Hey Alex. Where are you guys right now?"
"We are heading back to the anomaly with the Omeisaurus," said Alex through the phone. "Turned out it had a splinter in its teeth, but we took care of it. You guys okay."
"Yeah, we are fine. The Agilisaurus clan already went through."
"What about the Xuanhanosaurus?"
"We haven't found it but we're still looking. But we better hurry; our parents will be done in ten minutes or less."
"We are on our way."
Alex then hanged up.
"Alex and them are coming over here with the Omeisaurus," said Phineas.
"Well we better find that Xuanhanosaurus quickly," said Isabella.
"That won't be too hard," said Buford.
"Why's that?" said Baljeet.
"Cause it just found us!"
The theropod is right behind the teens, roaring at them.
"Run!" said Phineas.
The gang started to run, when Gretchen trips.
"Gretchen," said Ginger.
She runs up to her friend. Both girls sat with fear when the predator is walking straight towards them.
The theropod begins to open its mouth, when a rope wraps around the jaws. It was Ferb who had a lasso on him. The theropod runs towards Ferb, when Baljeet and Buford both jump on top of the predator.
"Yee hah," said Buford.
The predator manages to throw both boys off and breaks the rope as well. It then creeps on to its front legs towards the gang. Before it can attack, the ground begins to shake. It was the Omeisaurus running towards the predator. Before the carnivore knew it, the sauropod hurls its head and knocks the predator out.
"Omeisaurus to the rescue," said Katie.
Ferb and Baljeet runs towards Gretchen and Ginger to see if they're okay.
"You two okay," said Ferb.
"We're okay," said Gretchen.
Ginger walks up to Baljeet.
"That was very brave of you Baljeet," said Ginger.
"Thanks," said the Indian kid. "Although it wasn't just me, it was also Buford as well."
"Either way, you saved mine and Gretchen's life. Thank you."
Ginger then hugs Baljeet. Baljeet is surprised but didn't mine at all.
The Xuanhanosaurus gets back onto its feet. Everyone watches to see what will happen. The predator just walks the other direction towards the anomaly.
"Well it's time for this big guy to head back home," said Phineas.
The Omeisaurus heads towards the anomaly.
"See you big guy," said Alex. "Be careful with those cycad leaves."
The dinosaur just bellows at Alex and heads home.
"Well that turned out well," said Adyson. "Everyone is back where they belong."
"Now let's just get back inside the restaurant," said Buford.
"Hold on everyone," said Phineas. "Ferb, do you have that new device we made. The one that can clean clothes in just seconds."
"I sure do," said Ferb.
He fires a small ray at himself, Phineas, and the others which automatically cleans their clothes.
"Now hopefully our parents won't be too curious," said Phineas.
"Say Alex," said Holly.
"Yeah Holly," said Alex.
"That was a brave thing you did; removing that splinter from that giant herbivore. Most people probably wouldn't have the guts to do something like that."
"I guess I'm not one of those people."
"Yeah, well I guess that's what I like about you."
Holly then gives Alex a kiss on the cheek.
Alex was really surprised.
Then the parents, Candace, Jeremy, Stacy, and Jenny walked outside.
"There you kids are," said Linda. "Ready to head home?"
"Sure mom," said Phineas.
"Hey Phineas," whispered Candace. "Did you succeed in taking care of those dinosaurs?"
"We sure did sis. And thanks for covering for us."
"It's the least that I can do."
Everyone then headed for home.

Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated…after hours

"Her dad," said Vanessa who was giving Doofenshmirtz a pillow.
"Thanks Vanessa."
"No. Thank you, dad. For saving me from that dinosaur."
"Well I couldn't bear to see my little girl get hurt."
"Thanks. Well I better head back to mom. I'll see you later. And stay off that leg."
"Ok. By sweetie."
Perry looks at the doctor.
"Well Perry the platypus. This looks like it will delay my anomaly research and all. Curse you Xuanhanosaurus qilixiaensis."

NEXT TIME

An anomaly opens at the Super Food Stuff Mart back to the early Permian allowing a small group of Edaphosaurus & a dangerous Dimetrodon to roam through. When Baljeet gets bit by the savage synapsid, it's up to his friends to save him from blood poisoning.
